Major League Baseball rumors: Manny Machado to Dodgers hits snag

Baltimore Orioles shortstop Manny Machado has been traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers for a package of prospects, according to multiple reports.

Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports the Orioles will receive a total of five prospects, headlined by Diaz, the Dodgers' No. 4 prospect and consensus top-100 prospect entering this season.

During the MLB All-Star Game, it seemed the American League starting shortstop was set to switch leagues and hit up Hollwood. In exchange for Machado, the Dodgers sent Rylan Bannon, Yusniel Diaz, Dean Kremer, Zach Pop and Breyvic Valera to Baltimore.

Canada PM shakes up govt ahead of 2019 elections
He had been the federal point-person on cannabis legalization as parliamentary secretary to both the health and justice ministers. The newcomers include Bill Blair, who was named minister of the new portfolio of border security and organized crime reduction.

Machado is tallying several career-high figures for the first half, including home runs (23), RBIs (64), OBP (.384) and OPS (.950).

A Platinum Glove Award victor and three-time All-Star at third base, Machado moved back to his original position this season.

More than watching a division rival acquire the best player on the trade market who will then become a marquee free agent, the deal hurts Arizona more considering the organization was reportedly interested in trading for Machado itself. Given that you're adding Machado to an L.A. offense that already leads the NL in home runs, and you can imagine that the Dodgers are pretty excited right about now.
