The rumour mill of the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 is not really on a roll here, but here's what we know so far from our last report.

Based on the latest teaser, Xiaomi will also announce the Mi A2 Lite.

On the memory front, it comes with 4GB of RAM as well as 64GB of storage. The software, however, will be very different. Newest leaks also confirmed that the SoC powering the handheld will indeed be the Snapdragon 636 with eight Kryo 260 cores running at 1.8 GHz, which seems a bit underwhelming for a device this large. The Lite version is on sale on China's AliExpress in two variants - one with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage at $189.99 (approximately Rs. 13,000) and the other one with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage at $209.99 (roughly Rs. 14,400). The upcoming Mi A2 is speculated to be the global variant of Mi 6X which was launched in China recently. Thanks to the dual-camera setup, users will be able to capture photos with DSRL-like background blur using the AI Portrait Mode.

Coming to the camera department, the device will feature a dual camera setup at the back consisting of a 12MP primary camera with Sony IMX486 sensor, 1.25um pixel size, phase detection autofocus, f/2.2 aperture and a secondary 5MP camera with Samsung S5K5E8 sensor, f/2.2 aperture and 1.12um pixel size. Fueling the internals of the Android One smartphone will be a 4000mAh capacity battery. The handset is likely to carry a 20MP front camera sensor for selfies and video calling. In the top-center part, there's a fingerprint sensor for added security.

The Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite is expected to make its debut at the company's next big global event, which is set for July 24 in Madrid, Spain. Both smartphones are expected to be launched in India soon after the global event in Spain.
