Microsoft is preparing a line of smartphones with Android

Microsoft Phone

The news would be quite surprising considering that the tech giant stopped making hardware a couple of years ago as it couldn't compete with all the iOS and Android devices out there that essentially made Windows Phones futile. It allows them to tap into Timeline by hooking them up to your Microsoft activity history, effectively making prior browsing sessions visible to you with a simple Win+Tab shortcut.

Windows Timeline is part of Project Rome - Microsoft's vision of turning the cloud into a device agnostic OS. However, the free Windows Timeline Support extension is here to change that. But there are some other tidbits tagging along as well, including paste-and-search and the ability to choose from more default search engines (via OnMSFT). The employee says it'll be like a new edition for Microsoft phones, before asserting that it's going to be powered by Android "for sure". Delayed several times, the feature finally arrived with the Windows 10 April 2018 Update (Redstone 4). While Timeline provides a great way to carry work across devices, it does have some limitations in its current iteration.

Apart from the web page translation feature, Microsoft Edge for Android gets support for Bing Rewards.

Carmelo Anthony could become free agent if Thunder can't find trade
D'Antoni coached Anthony when they were both at the New York Knicks for two seasons from 2011 to 2012. Although, Carmelo could agree to a trade to Chicago if the Bulls agree to immediately waive him.

Timeline has largely remained limited to native apps like Microsoft Edge and Office.

That said, this extension mainly benefits those who wish to see Chrome and Firefox timelines in their Windows 10 PC as these browsers already provide native sync support via their own mobile apps. A Microsoft account is necessary to use the feature.
