Antoine Griezmann hits back at Thibaut Courtois criticism

Antoine Griezmann brushed off comparisons to France great Zinedine Zidane as he aims to inspire Les Bleus to a World Cup final victory that he admitted would "change many things".

France advanced to Sunday's final against Croatia following a 1-0 win with the goal coming from Barcelona defender, Samuel Umtiti in the second half.

France forward Antoine Griezmann has hit back at Belgium goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois's criticism of his team's style of play. Their striker plays 30 metres from his own goal.

Belgium did most of the probing in the game but were contained by Didier Deschamps' side, who progressed to the final courtesy of Samuel Umtiti's victor just after half-time.

The Atletico Madrid forward was just seven years old when Zidane scored twice to help France lift the World Cup on home soil in 1998, and 20 years later Griezmann has been hailed as one of the country's talismanic figures in Russian Federation.

He said: 'Does Thibaut Courtois think that at Chelsea he plays Barcelona football?

"We don't care how we win, we just want to win, all we care about is getting the second star on this shirt".
