Instagram has a new questions feature for Story users

Watch The News That Wasn’t With Cyrus Broacha

Now, the Facebook-owned company has added the ability to ask questions in its Stories, a feature I'm surprised wasn't already there.

Your friends and followers can tap reply when they see your story and can reply as many times as they want through that sticker. This interactive new option was created to make it easier for users to engage with friends and followers on the platform. Users can then type in their prompt and add the sticker to the photo or video being posted to their story.

Just a little heads up, people who asked the questions can see how you answer and can even share your response with their own followers. If you share a follower's response in a new story, their photo and user name won't be visible.

The new question sticker on the polling feature means friends can submit questions for you to answer - but only you can see who has asked what.

Instagram's update is rolling out to iOS and Android users now.

Ronaldo's career in 60 seconds as Juventus move confirmed
Today, Belgium plays France in the highly anticipated semifinals of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russian Federation . The exit of the Portuguese star will bring a lot of funds which will be enough to lure big-name players.

This is just the latest in a deluge of features and updates added to the app - around 20 since the beginning of the year (including feed changes, anti-bullying improvements, changes to explore, etc.), eight of which were introduced on or after June 1.

Instagram is taking its strong position in the social media space very seriously, and is constantly adding new features to keep the platform relevant for its existing users as well as gain new users.

The Questions sticker is as easy as using the other stickers like Poll, GIFs and so on.

Instagram is a free download from the App Store.
