Charles Oakley arrested in Las Vegas after allegedly cheating at casino

The agency says in a statement that Oakley is suspected of "adding to or reducing his wager" on a game after the outcome was known.

It is not known what he was playing, but according to TMZ, Oakley tried to take a $100 chip off the table once he realized he was going to lose.

A security team reviewed video footage that confirmed the cheating, TMZ reported. The charge carries a possible prison sentence of one to six years if he is convicted, though a source close to Oakley told TMZ the issue is "insignificant" and will be resolved quickly.

Oakley was charged with misdemeanor assault and trespassing, among other charges.Oakley later agreed to a plea deal to have the charges dropped and subsequently filed the civil suit. Oakley has fought the charges.
