Disney Delays Indiana Jones 5 Release to 2021

The wait for Indiana Jones 5 just got a whole lot longer.

The plan had originally been to film Indiana Jones 5 in the United Kingdom starting in April 2019 for a July 10, 2020 release date, but because of the new script and other concerns, it's unlikely the movie will arrive on schedule. Now, Disney has made it official, giving the film a new date of July 9, 2021. The new delay follows reports last week in Hollywood industry publications that the script had not been finished and that a new writer was being brought in to polish it. Disney did not immediately return a request for comment on Tuesday on the delay.

Harrison Ford, seen here in Blade Runner 2049, is now appearing as Indiana Jones in 2021.

The film was originally scheduled for release in 2019 but that date was later pushed back to 2020. That's because Spielberg is in pre-production on a reboot of West Side Story and even looking at directing The Kidnapping of Edgardo Mortara with Oscar victor Mark Rylance.

France, Belgium Clash In Mouth-Watering Semi-Final Matchup
Even though France has a young team, they also have a very experienced player on the team, the goalkeeper , Hugo Lloris . It is a tactic that has become a hallmark of both Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur over the last two years.

Steven Spielberg is set to direct the latest "Indiana Jones" film, with Harrison Ford also reprising his role. Ford turns 79 years old in July 2021.

That means Mary Poppins Returns, which could become one of the year's highest-grossing films, on Wednesday, and James Wan's Aquaman, and the James Cameron-produced Alita: Battle Angel, and the Transformers spin-off Bumblebee, and Robert Zemeckis' Welcome to Marwen, and the Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly-starring Holmes and Watson two days later on Friday.

Finally, Disney shuffled around a number of untitled live-action projects, striking a November 2019 release and a February 2021 release from the schedule.
