Trump is being sued by his former chauffeur

President Trump stiffed longtime personal driver on thousand of hours of overtime lawsuit alleges

As a driver, Cintron started his workday at 7 a.m., finished whenever Trump, his relatives or Trump Organization associates said he could go home, and routinely worked 50- to 55-hour weeks without getting overtime but was eligible for it, the lawsuit says.

A NY man who said he was Donald Trump's personal driver for more than 20 years sued the USA president's company on Monday, claiming he was stiffed out of thousands of hours of overtime pay.

He also accuses Mr Trump of only raising his salary twice in 15 years - and clawing the second raise back by stopping paying his health insurance.

In 2010 he was given his second raise, to $75,000 - but on condition of surrendering his health benefits, which Mr Cintron alleges saved the Organization almost $18,000 per year. And one, he said, came with an unusual condition - to get a $7,000 pay increase, Cintron was told he had to give up his Trump Organization health insurance. Cintron was replaced in his role by the US Secret Service in 2016, when Trump became the Republican presidential nominee.

A former chauffeur to President Donald Trump sued Monday for thousands of hours' worth of unpaid overtime that the driver says he's owed.

Donald Trump was not named as a defendant.

Eight soccer team members rescued from flooded Thai cave, 5 remain trapped
When the boys are freed, they will immediately be taken to Chiangrai Prachanukroh hospital, around 60 miles from the cave site. Meanwhile, a letter of apology from the coach of the football team was delivered to the boys' parents via the cave divers.

The allegations mirror numerous other claims made by contractors and workers for Trump's companies, who have frequently gone to court over claims of unpaid wages or fees.

The Trump Organization, which is being run by the president's adult sons Donald Jr. and Eric while their father is in office, did not immediately respond to an AFP request for comment.

The case is Cintron v Trump Organization LLC et al, New York State Supreme Court, New York County, No. 653424/2018.

In addition to the unpaid overtime, Cintron claims the Trump Organization failed to provide annual wage notices as required by NY law.

Hutcher said that Cintron had repeatedly asked Trump for raises in the past, but - beyond those two instances - he was rebuffed.

"It's ironic that President Trump, who portrays himself as an advocate of the working man, doesn't see fit to pay his own driver a fair wage", Hutcher said in an interview.
