Johnny Depp Sued For Punching Gregg Brooks In The Ribs Twice

Gregg "Rocky" Brooks alleges the incident occurred on April 13, 2017, when Depp was filming outside the Barclay Hotel in downtown Los Angeles.

A crew member on the upcoming film "City of Lies" has filed suit against star Johnny Depp, claiming the financially strapped actor physically and verbally assaulted him on set - and offered up to $100,000 for the crew member to punch him in the face. Rocky says in the lawsuit that he didn't react.

However, when things weren't going to plan, this is when Brooks had to inform Depp, who reportedly "reeked of alcohol", that he only had one more shot.

Rocky claims Depp continued his tirade and his bodyguards then removed him from the area.

Brad Furman, the film's director, had previously said that the situation had been overblown.

'Ant-Man and the Wasp' marches to $76-million launch
It earned $ 29 million in its fourth weekend, bringing its domestic total to $504 million and its worldwide haul to $773 million. It's the first animated film to ever surpass $500 million at the North American box office, and the 12th film ever to do so.

"Johnny Depp is a consummate professional, great collaborator and a supporter of other artists. You have no right to tell me what to do". Before Rocky could even reach the cops, Johnny attacked him and began screaming "who the f*** are you?" When he failed to get a reaction from Brooks, Depp allegedly screamed, "I will give you $100,000 to punch me in the face right now".

It has been a tough few years for Depp who, in 2017, sued ex-managers Joel and Robert Mandel at The Management Group (TMG) for $25 million, alleging fraud and negligence, claiming they mishandled his finances and caused him to rack up more than $40 million in debt.

The lawsuit also claims that the crewmember was sacked when he refused to sign papers saying he wouldn't sue over the incident.

The lawsuit is just the latest setback for Depp, whose financial woes have played out in the media amid multiple court cases.

Messages left seeking comment with representatives for Depp and the production company Good Films Productions were not immediately returned. The movie is set to open September 7 from Global Road Entertainment.
