Google releases Beta 3 of Android P

Google has released the fourth Developer Preview (DP) of Android P for the Google Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel 2 and the Pixel 2 XL.

We're also rolling out a new Android P Beta build that includes July security patches, the latest Google Code Drop and improvements to Android Auto. Since we're closing in on Developer Preview 5 and the final release, not much has changed, but there are enough tweaks that we thought a video was necessary.

Alongside Google, Essential also released a new Android P Beta update to the Essential PH-1 smartphone and other devices in the Android P Beta program such as the Nokia 7 Plus, Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S will pick up the update very soon.

Google has already finalized the new APIs for Android P, so developers can start building apps for Android P and even test them through Google Play. A new Dashboard serves as a hub for how often you use your device, including phone unlocks and the number of notifications received throughout the day.

LeBron James 'set to become' National Basketball Association free agent
A good way of thinking about this: If James had chosen to stay with the Cleveland Cavaliers , it would be a relatively safe call. It's important to note, however, that LeBron is known to spend his summers in Los Angeles at one of his two homes.

Although the dark theme changes certain features of Android, it is not a "blanket" dark theme.

Meanwhile, users can breakdown app usage with hourly and daily graphs that feature a quick shortcut to enable the App Timer.

The Beta 3 is the first release candidate and is now only available for those with Pixel devices. This would be similar to how Google Assistant and Google Lens initially launched on Pixel devices before making its way to all Android devices. We will keep you posted about the Android P Beta 3 OTA rollout.
