Melania’s ‘I Don’t Care’ Jacket Refers to ‘Fake Media,’ Says the President

Melania Trump's jacket ‘I really don't care. Do U

Mrs. Trump visited the Upbring New Hope Children's Center, after she was reported to have been a force in getting the president to act in the wake of a days-long controversy surrounding the effects of the Department of Justice's "zero tolerance" policy.

Trump came under fire for traveling to the child detention center in a green, hooded jacket with the phrase, "I Really Don't Care".

Melania Trump, first lady of surprises, had another one Thursday when she donned a short trench coat with a startling message scrawled on the back for her unexpected trip to Texas to visit a migrant children's shelter. Grisham also said that Melania "wanted to see everything for herself" and that her husband supported the trip.

Spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham wrote: "Today's visit w the children in Texas impacted @flotus greatly".

Defending his wife's choice of jacket, Trump blamed the media, tweeting: "I REALLY DON'T CARE, DO U?" written on the back of Melania's jacket, refers to the Fake News Media.

The mainstream media - so predictably - pounced on the message on her jacket.

It provides $25 billion for Mr Trump's wall, restrictions on legal immigration and language requiring the Homeland Security Department to keep migrant families together while they're being processed for illegal entry to the US.

California , home to one in eight Americans, launched the United States' biggest legal marijuana marketplace on January . THE Canadian parliament has passed a bill to legalise the use of cannabis in a recreational capacity.

Or maybe it was a different message to the media - "I really don't care what you think [of me]".

Melania was blasted on social media for wearing the jacket.

The visit to the one-story red brick building, which houses 55 children between the ages of 12 and 17, was meant to lend support to those children who remain separated from their parents, said Stephanie Grisham, the first lady's spokeswoman.

The first lady's surprise visit came the morning after President Donald Trump signed an executive order halting the practice of separating families that entered the U.S. illegally.

The awkwardness of the situation wasn't lost on many online, including Dictionary.com, who said it showed indifference. If any one sentence sums up the sentiments of the Trump administration on its immigrant family separation policy so far, it's this one. Though the bargain price tag should've been the talk of the day - it's only $39 - it was the context of her appearance that courted emotionally-charged reactions on Twitter from those who oppose separating children from their parents.

She joined about 20 mayors from cities across the country to call for the immediate reunification of immigrant children with their families. "We don't like to see families separated", Trump said.
