Mice chew through £13,000 in bank notes inside cash machine

Bank officials claimed that the machine was not dispensing cash, even though it had been replenished late last month with the equivalent of £33,417.

Melania’s ‘I Don’t Care’ Jacket Refers to ‘Fake Media,’ Says the President
The awkwardness of the situation wasn't lost on many online, including Dictionary.com , who said it showed indifference. Grisham also said that Melania "wanted to see everything for herself" and that her husband supported the trip.

Chandan Sharma, manager of the SBI branch in the town of Tinsukia in the northeastern state of Assam, told reporters "they were shocked to find shredded notes and a dead rat".

"We've checked and there is no other criminal or conspiracy angle to the incident". Of the 2.9 million rupees ($42,685) in the ATM, 1.7 million rupees ($25,022) were recovered intact. Most ATMs in India have a closed-circuit camera installed for enhanced security.

The rats munched through an estimated 1.2 million rupees (S$24,055) worth of hard currency, local media reported.
