Fortnite Wants to Give Players More Ways to Counter

Fortnite’s endgame set to change, giving players new ways to win

The last major change coming appears to be at the Villain lair near Snobby Shores, which contains a large, purple rocket, which, according to leaked game files, will be launched by the end of the season.

Epic say it will "be exploring these changes over the next few weeks" so the upcoming patches could be quite eventful.

In its most recent blog update, Epic is keen to express that Fortnite must support "a wide range of play styles and counterplay" in order to thrive. The response? "We are exploring changes to weapon balance and resource economy, like e.g. resource caps".

The constant evolution is an effort to keep one of planet Earth's most popular games at the top of the pile, ensuring it remains "fun and interesting" and feeling "fresh and new". With a slew of hardware choices on which to play the game, Epic also wants to make sure that its meta evolves meaningfully, with the studio having recently announced that it wants to give players more ways to counter.

"Another tweeted: "@FortniteGame if the resource cap or farming for mats is lowered to support people who can't build and help them win games without building, most of your players will no longer play this game.

Carlos Sanchez Receives Death Threats After Red Card at 2018 World Cup
It is a habit drilled into citizens from a young age, with students expected to clean their school classrooms and hallways. But before all that fun, supporters stayed back to tidy up their sections of the stadiums in videos that have gone viral.

"You should be able to find Victory Royales through multiple strategies", Epic explained.

While what changes will be made has yet to be confirmed it sounds like this could be a major reworking of the game: "the superiority of shotguns, rockets, and uncapped building are such a dominant play style in the final circle that most other strategies are being drowned out".

"Not every encounter should have to end in a build-off", Epic said in a blog post. "We want to empower you to showcase your skill, strategy, and tactics in all variety of ways".

The ability to build ramps, walls, and floors was initially the thing that most distinguished Fortnite from competitors like PUBG, but Epic has done an impressive job in expanding the game since launch previous year.
