Priest caught on tape violently grabbing & slapping baby during baptism

Priest slaps baby

A disturbing video has emerged of a priest slapping a baby across the face as he administers baptism.

At the start of the clip the woman who appears to be the baby's mother is holding in her arms while the priest, wearing white robes, begins the ceremony next to a baptismal font. The baby is crying loudly and the priest appears to be trying to get the baby to stop crying.

The parents or god-parents of the child look to be in disbelief as the priest begins to pull the child close to him once again.

The man and woman standing with the baby - believed to be his parents - are visibly shocked, eventually wrestling the child away from the priest's hands.

Newsweek reported that it's unknown when the incident occurred or the identities of the people in the video. I will spill water on the forehead, hmm?

House will delay vote on GOP compromise immigration bill until Friday
The House on Thursday narrowly passed a $860 billion farm bill that strengthens work requirements for food stamp recipients. Amodei was critical of GOP leadership and said the procedure being used "represents a new low" for the legislative system.

He then unleashes a sharp slap against the baby's cheek, shocking those sat in the church, who can be heard to gasp.

Finally, the man believed to be the child's father interjects, and removes the child from the situation before the video cuts out.

According to UK Daily Mail, the child would not stop crying during the ceremony; causing the clergyman to lose his temper, lift his left hand and hit the baby in the face.

The YouTube video was uploaded to Reddit on Thursday and sparked a torrent of outrage from viewers the world over, many furious that a trusted religious official would do such a thing.
