Oppo Find X: Everything you need to know

OPPO isn't contented with just a single OPPO Find X flagship smartphone.

The Find X flaunts a bezel-less design with a screen-to-body ratio of 93.8 percent. The invite, however, does not reveal the name of the smartphone to be announced at the event, but it is expected that the company will be launching Oppo Find X in India on July 12. Instead, the Find X uses 3D facial scanning (similar in concept to the iPhone X's Face ID system) that is mounted next to the selfie camera. The flagship possesses a perfectly symmetrical curved glass body at the back and the front.

On the back of this motorized segment you'll find a primary 16MP sensor alongside a 20MP secondary offering, with OIS (optical image stabilization) including. Its rear-facing cameras are in the traditional position on the back of the phone. Other features include a 3730mAh battery which can be charged via VOOC quick charging - basically the same fast charging feature called DASH charge in OnePlus phones. Now new information about the Oppo Find X points out that the phone will have a screen-to-body ratio above 90 percent.

OPPO says the Find X will also be sold in the U.S. There's no word when, or if it's going to arrive at all in the Philippines, but we're confident that the company will bring it here sooner than later.

Speaking of that 3D facial scanner, Oppo did copy Apple when it comes to fingerprint sensors.

Egypt takes on Russian Federation at the FIFA World Cup on Tuesday
Soccer President Carlos Cordeiro, who explains how the 2026 World Cup bid was won by the U.S., Canada and Mexico. GW: Yeah, and I'm bummed out that Mohamed Salah is not going to be with us for very long in this tournament.

The device is well-specced for its ambition with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, 8GB of RAM, up to 256GB of storage, Android 8.1 (with OPPO's highly-customized Color OS) and a 3,730mAh battery with adapter-based VOOC charging. The all-new Find X has been in the rumors mills from last few months.

Keep an eye out for our in-depth Oppo Find X review to see how the cameras stack up against the competition. It's worth noting that the Find X ditches the 3.5mm headphone jack for the USB Type-C.

The phone will also have Super VOOC Flash Charge, a new version of their proprietary charging system. This feature on the Find X gives it an edge over other phones with traditional camera placement. The fact that the phone supports global LTE bands and will be sold in the USA and Europe - a first for Oppo - adds credence to the fact that Oppo isn't looking for China exclusivity with the Find X. It will be available in two colour options: Bordeaux Red and Glacier Blue.

It's called the OPPO Lamborghini Find X Special Edition and comes with some design tweaks created to make it stand out, like a carbon fiber paint job. The Android handset is arresting to look at, mostly because its 6.4-inch display really does stretch across the entire phone face - there isn't even a camera for taking selfies.
