North Korea sanctions to 'remain in effect’

Wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat, former National Basketball Association star Dennis Rodman appeared on CNN following the historic summit between Donald Trump and North Korea's Kim Jong-un.

Rodman appeared tearful behind his sunglasses as he launched into an emotional tirade on TV.

Mr Obama "just brushed me off" and "didn't even give me the time of day", he said. Rodman claimed the Obama had ignored his request.

Rodman, through tears, said he received death threats for meeting the North Korean dictator. But I took those bullets, I took all of that.

"I've always been an advocate of involving Dennis Rodman", Clapper noted to Cuomo.

For years, Rodman has basically been the unofficial spokesman for the US on all things North Korea, even bringing over a basketball team to the country to get on Kim's good side.

Rodman spoke in glowing terms about Kim, as he has done before, and glossed over the young leader's troubling human rights record.

Rodman - who referred to Sanders as "Trump's secretary" in a teary CNN interview - thanked the senior White House official and asked for a presidential shout out.

Dennis Rodman breaks down in tears during CNN interview on North Korea
White House officials have said Rodman will play no official role in the diplomatic negotiations. "I knew it. Dennis began weeping when he confessed that he received death threats for meeting with Kim in North Korea.

While wearing his "Make America Great Again" hat, the former Chicago Bulls player said that the US President was proud of his work in enabling the historic meeting to occur with the North Korean leader and expressed his love for the country.

"Yes, Donald Trump reached out", he said. "And today is a great day for everybody-Singapore, Tokyo, China-it's a great day".

"If Trump could pull this off, more power to him", he explained. And I believed in North Korea, but I couldn't even go home.

The world now looks safe from a nuclear meltdown, but not from a Dennis Rodman live television meltdown.

Twitter responded to Rodman with some jokes, but also some praise for his ability to bring two sides together. Everything else is in the president's hands.

Rodman, who was in Singapore at the time, hopes that politics can be put aside and that everyone can "get along".

Well, the historic summit between North Korea and the USA has left with the two men signing an agreement on denuclearization, recovering of the remains of missing persons during the Korean War, the establishment of American relations with the regime, and the cessation of U.S. Have a handshake, have a smile, have a glass of iced tea.
