Trump and Kim sign agreement after landmark summit

Just before he made his early exit from the G-7 summit in Charlevoix, Quebec, Mr Trump told reporters: "I feel that Kim Jong Un wants to do something great for his people and he has that opportunity".

Trump first announced there would be "a signing" shortly after midday, during a stroll with Kim around the hotel grounds.

The US president said he had, and would not retract his description of Mr Kim as "talented".

With Trump and Kim both known for making exaggerated, if not entirely false claims, those notes could be key to understanding Kim as a leader and furthering plans for peace on the Korean Peninsula.

Trump has yet to deliver a press conference that was meant to take place at 2:30pm today.

-North Korea summit, is expected to pick up a considerable portion of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un's bills.

Mr Trump later said the USA would suspend its military exercises that have infuriated North Korea, which analysts see as an apparent concession.

The two leaders met for about 40 minutes and were joined only by interpreters.

"The entire world is focusing on the historic summit between the DPRK and the USA, and thanks to your honest efforts. we were able to complete the preparations for the historic summit", Mr Kim told Mr Lee through an interpreter.

Dwane Casey agrees to 5-year deal with Pistons
The Pistons recently hired the former Nets general manager Ed Stefanski to lead their search for new front-office executives. Under Casey, the Raptors won four Atlantic Division titles and advanced to the playoffs in five consecutive seasons.

When pressed for a breakdown on the summit expenses, he said, "I think if you calculate the price of everything in this world, you will miss out the really important things".

Predicting a tremendous success of the summit, Trump said it was "an honor" to meet with Kim face-to-face and that he would have "a terrific relationship" with the DPRK leader.

But without a full transcript, it could have been easy for Trump and Kim to walk away from their meeting believing they came to two different agreements.

Trump was flanked in the larger meeting by chief of staff John Kelly, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and national security adviser John Bolton.

Former US basketball star Dennis Rodman wept during an interview in Singapore on Tuesday as he discussed unprecedented talks between the North Korean and US leaders in the city-state aimed at trying to end a nuclear standoff.

Security around Kim's hotel remained tight, suggesting the North Korean leader may return after the summit.

At the start of the meeting the American president told the North Korean leader: "Working together we will get it taken care of. we will solve it".

Having acknowledged that the U.S. - DPRK summit - the first in history - was an epochal event of great significance in overcoming decades of tension and hostilities between the two countries and for the opening up of a new future. "If diplomacy does not move in the right direction- and we are hopeful that it will continue to do so- those measures will increase".
