Devil May Cry 5 is real, watch the first trailer from E3 2018

Today, during Microsoft's Xbox E3 2018 showcase, the game was shown off with a colorful and frenetic new trailer, including an appearance from series mainstay Dante at the very end.

With Devil May Cry 4 releasing about a decade ago, it's time for the critically acclaimed series to receive a proper sequel with Devil May Cry 5- with the old Dante coming back finally and Nero. Maybe it's the short hair.

We've had so many rumors floating around the last few months that Devil May Cry 5's existence was pretty much as guaranteed as it gets in this world. Check out the trailer for yourself below.

It's been more than ten years since the launch of Devil May Cry 4, but it appears Capcom has been quietly working on a worthy successor for several years.

The Devil May Cry series, known for its blend of high-octane stylized action and otherworldly characters, grew to be a global success since its first release in 2001.

Last, but certainly not least, below you can enjoy the first screenshots, attractive character artwork showcasing Nero and Nico, and the official box art, alongside the key artwork. We saw a bunch of different characters, the signature hack and slash combat, and Dante's luscious grey locks.

However, after fighting demons with a gun on his left hand, Nero attaches a metal arm to his right one which releases what seems like a strong electric current that blows up his enemies at once.

A battle of good and evil - A demonic invasion begins with the seeds of a "demon tree" taking root in Red Grave City.

How will Devil May Cry 5 play?

The game is also being built using 343's new Slipspace Engine, which is detailed in a new blog. Announced with a fantastic trailer at Microsoft's E3 2018 press conference, Dante, Nero and friends are returning to fight demons and look rad as hell doing so.
