IHOP changes name to IHOb (for now)

We'll miss you letter P

In truth, IHOP isn't actually changing its name to IHOB; it's simply adding burgers to its menu, and is using the name-change gimmick to advertise the addition.

The restaurant recently stated the they would be changing their name from IHOP to IHOB. Many on social media guessed that it would be "breakfast", "bacon" and yes, some got it right with burgers.

"We're flippin' from pancakes, pancakes, pancakes to burgers, burgers, burgers", the company announced on Monday, announcing the shift that it teased by mentioning a looming name change last week.

The new burgers are available with unlimited french fries and a drink for $6.99.

Meant to promote a new line of hamburgers as the restaurant chain tries to branch out from its breakfast niche, the switch is part of a marketing campaign and not an actual rebranding, company officials told CNN. The "b" stands for burgers!

Left-Wing Mayors Defy Populist Government, Inviting Banned Migrant Delivery Ships to Dock
The aid group said in a statement it had taken "good note" of Salvini's stance, as reported earlier by Italian media. More than 550,000 migrants have arrived in Italy between June 2014 and June 2017.

IHOb isn't rising to Wendy's bait, tweeting back, "We don't want any beef with you, we just want to share our beef with the world".

Whatabuger also had a great response saying: "As much as we love our pancakes, we'd never change our name to Whatapancake".

But, of course, other restaurant chains had some thoughts to share on the whole "IHOb" announcement. Called "ultimate steakburgers", there are seven for customers to choose from, including a "Big Brunch" burger that comes topped with bacon, a fried egg and potato, and a "Cowboy BBQ" burger topped with onion rings.

When it comes to those places that already sell burgers, the "B" stand more for "baffling".

A flagship restaurant in Hollywood, CA will feature a new "re-burgered" sign and will host a "VIB" launch party for the new menu additions.
