Titanfall developer working on Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order

Respawn Entertainment's Vince Zampella teases a dark Star Wars game for holiday 2019. EA Games

Zampella said that it would be during the "dark times" and that naturally, players will pick up a lightsaber during the game.

Zampella added that the game will be set during the "dark times" between Episode III and Episode IV of Star Wars. EA Games, which acquired Respawn in 2017, confirmed that the game centers on "a surviving Padawan".

"Jedi Fallen Order" is expected to launch during the holiday season next year.

"It's going to be spectacular", says Zampella, but then he would say that.

As the name suggests, it's a Jedi-themed game, but that's pretty much all we know at this point, aside from its release date: Fall 2019.

Zampella teased the title is now scheduled for release in late 2019, with more details to come at next year's E3. Maybe. It's a Star Wars game with a huge lead time - it could be canceled!
