EA Announces Origin Access Premier

WATCH Jalen Ramsey and Terrell Owens go 1-on-1 in new Madden 19 trailer

While Electronic Arts' E3 2018 premise lays with the games themselves, a surprise announcement also came from its EA Play press conference.

According to EA, this is a "new tier" of its PC gaming membership where subscribers can play full games such as Battlefield 5, Federation Internationale de Football Association 19, Madden NFL 19, and Anthem before launch. But if you have Access Premier, you'll get to play once it comes out - it (and all other new EA games) will be included as part of your subscription.

Origin Access first launched back in 2016, as a PC version of the original EA Access subscription scheme for Xbox One. The premium service will also include access to the full Origin Vault of previously-released titles for subscribers, as with the base Origin Access service. For $4.99 a month - or $29.99 per year - it includes more than a hundred PC games, though they're not typically the very newest titles.

Pre-registration for Origin Access Premier will open today, Electronic Arts says.
