Three-cylinder off-road-capable Jeep Renegade coming soon image

The updated Jeep Renegade has made its official debut at the Turin Motor Show being held from June 6-10, 2018 wherein several exterior and interior updates were noted.

Jeep has yet to reveal other details or show us the updated cabin, so stay tuned for more info when it becomes available.

As seen from the first set of images released by the manufacturer, the Jeep Renegade gets a redesigned front bumper that extends a bit lower than its predecessor. New fog lamps are seen positioned on the lower part of the bumper along with clear lens turn indicators. At the back, the Renegade's tail-lights get slightly reprofiled, making them look fresher than the outgoing model. The headlamps are LED with new DRLs which are similar in design to the new facelifted Wrangler. The larger infotainment system and the climate control unit seems to have been borrowed from the 2019 Jeep Cherokee.

Jeep said that in Europe, the new Renegade will have new three- and four-cylinder gas engines, ranging from a 120-horsepower 1.0-liter through a 180-hp 1.3-liter. Also, there will be a new 1.3-litre turbo-petrol motor which will arrive in two states of tune of 150bhp and 180bhp.

Jeep has officially unveiled the images of the facelifted Jeep Renegade that is expected to be launched in India.

Key rivals to the Renegade include the Hyundai Creta, Renault's Captur and the upcoming Nissan Kicks.

For the India-bound Renegade, the SUV will most likely get a 2.0-litre diesel churning out 140bhp and a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine with full-time 4WD as optional and 2WD as standard.
