Odd 'wolf-like' creature shot and killed in Montana
A large wolf-like animal shot and killed May 16 by a rancher near Denton has wildlife officials and the public wondering what it was.

While Ted Dabney's contributions are not always referenced as often as those by his former colleagues, his impact on building the industry that we know and love today is etched indelibly in video game history.

Born as Samuel F. "Ted" Dabney on May 15, 1937, in San Francisco, he had enlisted in the United States Marine Corps after graduating high school because of his interest in electronics and computer development. Their debut project, Computer Space, was also the first arcade game ever made. He eventually joined electronics company Ampex in 1961, where he would meet Bushnell in 1969. However, in 1973, despite the incredible success of Pong, Dabney left Atari, selling his entire stake in the company to Bushnell for reasons that have varied over the years. Alcorn used Dabney's video circuit concept to create the programming for the game, while Dabney constructed the coin slot mechanism portion of the cabinet. Leonard who covered the story of Dabney in the Edge magazine was the first to announce Dabney's death in a Facebook post.
