Memorial Day weather forecast: Warm, muggy day with an uncertain afternoon

We'll wake up to lots of clouds on Monday, but we should be rain-free.

More scattered rather than widespread showers will be around on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Even hotter weather is expected on Sunday, and the Weather Service in the Twin Cities has issued a heat advisory for Hennepin and Ramsey counties from 1 p.m.to 8 p.m. Sunday.

We had one or two thunderstorms on the radar Sunday afternoon and that same potential is possible with the heat and humidity this afternoon. Otherwise, skies are forecast to be mostly cloudy, and the low should be around 74 degrees. Tuesday is expected to sunny with some late clouds and a high of 86.

We keep low thunderstorm chances all week long, higher to end the week. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 72.

Unfortunately, our weather pattern will be very unsettled this week - every single day through next weekend will feature a chance of showers, whether widespread, scattered, or isolated. The chance for storms will continue Thursday through the first weekend in June but high temperatures will moderate to the mid-70s for the coming weekend.

Friday: Mostly cloudy with a 50 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms. In Philly, there's a slight chance of rain in the morning, while at the Shore, there's a chance of showers in the morning and afternoon. Partly sunny, with a high near 88.
