Over the last couple of months, we've had the privilege of enjoying splendors of Hope County, in Far Cry 5, but that's all going to change next month when Ubisoft releases the first Far Cry 5 DLC, Hours of Darkness. He is a Vietnam War veteran, and in this DLC Redler recounts his glory days in war-torn Vietnam. They must rescue imprisoned squad maters, fight against the dreaded Viet Cong and North Vietnamese Army, and find any means to get home.

Meanwhile, Far Cry 5 has also received Vietnam-inspired update today adding various assets themed around Hours of Darkness, which can be implemented into both new and existing maps within the game's Arcade Mode.

If that's not enough, Ubisoft is also releasing the soundtrack for Hours of Darkness on several select music providers. The DLC will not only feature new gear and abilities but will have two different playable models that will be unlocked after completing Hours of Darkness. Two additional asset drops will give map builders more tools to create unique Far Cry Arcade experiences.

Set in America, a first for the franchise, Far Cry 5 offers players total freedom to navigate a serene-looking yet deeply twisted world as the new junior deputy of fictional Hope County, Montana.

Far Cry 5: Hours of Darkness launches for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on 5th June. In terms of other Season Pass content, "Lost on Mars" will be released in July, while "Dead Living Zombies" will follow in August. Those who own the Season Pass should be able to download it on June 5th while those who want to just get it individually will have to wait for the release of the DLC before they can purchase it.

It will be interesting to see if Ubisoft can tie in the next two DLCs with the main story of Far Cry 5.
