Soros foundation quits Hungary to escape 'unprecedented' tactics

Hungarian army officers stand at the Serbian Hungarian border as a Syrian refugee women crosses near Roszke southern Hungary Saturday Sept. 12 2015

The move comes a month after Mr Orban won a third straight term in office on pledges to block immigration and introduce a "Stop Soros" law to dramatically tighten state control on NGOs that help the few refugees and migrants in Hungary.

Orban has accused Soros of being a part of a technique to flood Europe with migrants and of meddling in home affairs.

"Faced with an increasingly repressive political and legal environment in Hungary, the Open Society Foundations are moving their Budapest-based global operations and staff to the German capital, Berlin, " the group announced on Tuesday.

The Central European University, a graduate school started by USA billionaire George Soros, said yesterday it would stay in Hungary's capital despite a decision by its founder's foundation to leave.

Before the parliamentary elections in April, orbán said that in Hungary there are about 2000 paid people who during the election campaign, are working to overthrow the government and establish a new "pomegrante study, acceptable to George Soros". His Open Society Foundations will leave Budapest, Hungary, citing pressure from the Hungarian government.

United States threatens sanctions after trade body rules against Airbus
The shares of Airbus had fallen shortly after the WTO issued its findings and were poised to close down around 0.86 percent. To Airbus' point, one finding against the US now remains before the WTO, which concerns a Washington state tax measure.

Note that Orban is a big critic of Soros.

As you know, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, who has been in power since 2010, in recent months sharpened his nationalist rhetoric and especially critical of the US billionaire George Soros. According to a spokesperson for OSF, the organization will continue to operate in Hungary, supporting local groups doing work on fundamental rights advocacy.

Those connected to Open Society have been targeted by clandestine and fraudulent recording efforts aimed at fueling the government's misleading propaganda campaign. It would also impose a 25 percent tax on foreign donations to NGOs that back migration.

Another Soros institution funded by Soros, Budapest's Central European University, may also be forced to shutter operations in Hungary.
