Sen. Lee celebrates embassy move to Jerusalem

As of around midday on Tuesday, it's estimated that Israeli troops have killed at least 60 Palestinians, including children, demonstrating near the Gaza-Israel border.

But it also marks the anniversary of the "nakba", or catastrophe, when hundreds of thousands of Palestinians fled or were expelled from present-day Israel during the 1948 war.

A senior Hamas leader, Khalil Al-Hayya, said at a border encampment that Monday's protest was timed to coincide with the "deplorable crime of moving the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem".

A 21-year-old and a 29-year-old were among the first killed by Israeli soldiers, according to the Gaza Health Ministry. "He is among dozens who died for the sake of Palestine and Jerusalem".

The death toll led to strong condemnation from rights groups and concern from a range of countries.

"These are things that were negotiated between Palestinian and Israeli parties in the past that we would leave this as a neutral space until we have reached that place in our conflict where we can discuss this, and unfortunately western powers have not allowed this peace to remain and have inflamed the situation even more".

"We're supposed to believe that this is Israel's fault that Hamas is trying to storm the border?" he said.

While both France and Britain called for restraint from Israel, the U.S. blamed Hamas for the violence, with White House spokesperson Raj Shah saying the Palestinian group "is intentionally and cynically provoking this response".

A majority of Gaza's 2 million people are descendants of refugees, and the protests have been billed as the "Great March of Return" to long-lost homes in what is now Israel.

Many see the United States move as backing Israeli control over the whole of the city, which Israel regards as its indivisible capital.

Biologists believe that in the future this method can be used to recover memories lost in the early stages of Alzheimer's disease. Next, the researchers added RNA to Petri dishes containing neurons extracted from different snails that did not receive shocks.

Speaking later on Friday during a visit to the United Kingdom capital, London, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan accused Israel of being a "terrorist state", saying it was commiting a "genocide" against Palestinians.

Haley said Israel was facing Hamas extremists who incited people who lobbed flaming objects toward the Israeli side of the border fence and urged protest marchers to breach it.

More than 50 Palestinians were killed and over 1,200 wounded by Israeli gunfire amid mass protests Monday.

No Israelis were reported killed or injured.

Iran's Foreign Ministry on Monday urged Muslims to unite against U.S. relocation of embassy in Israel, the state TV reported.

Israel has occupied East Jerusalem since the 1967 Middle East war.

The status of Jerusalem goes to the heart of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Palestinians seek to make east Jerusalem the capital of a future state.

In the decades since 1967, worldwide consensus has been that the city's status must be negotiated between the two sides, but Trump broke with that to global outrage.

From withdrawing from the Paris climate accord and more recently the Iran nuclear deal to moving the United States embassy to Jerusalem, the U.S. and Europe no longer see eye-to-eye on key issues almost as often as they did under previous administrations.
