President Trump repeats misleading claim about Iran's military budget

Oil tanker owners are facing a nervous wait to find out whether they can carry on doing business with Iran after President Trump said on Tuesday he was reinstating a raft of sanctions against the Persian Gulf country.

Shortly after President Trump announced that the US had left the nuclear deal, Israel launched air strikes a suspected Iranian military facility near Damascus.

Protesters burned an American flag and railed against the USA and Israel after emerging from Friday prayers in Tehran.

Zarif made the comments after talks with EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini and his counterparts from Britain, France and Germany - the three European signatories to the 2015 landmark accord who are fighting to preserve it.

If Iran's talk with other signatories of the deal i.e, European Union, England, China, and Russian Federation fails it could resume its Nuclear weapon programme which will further intensify tensions in Middle-East.

France, Germany and the United Kingdom all say they remain committed to the nuclear deal with Iran and to expanding business ties, provided Iran sticks to its commitments.

But major nuclear proliferation experts around the world, as well as many of America's own top military generals and European governments, have unilaterally supported the Iran deal, arguing that it is the best way to keep Iran from pursuing nuclear enrichment. Speaking at a Catholic Day conference in Muenster on Friday, Merkel said it would be hard to keep the deal alive, given that a "huge economic power has left".

"We are working on the measures that we can start to put in place and we will look at the content of that", she said. As of now, there's yet to be a step change in owners' approach to Iranian business, he said.

When asked, DelTonto said that she was "just talking" to her former student, who was "upset and needed someone to talk to". She was an elementary school teacher but was suspended months before her death. 'I don't know why that happened.

Iran's President Hassan Rouhani has said that the country will remain in the deal.

Israel accused the Quds Force - the elite overseas operations arm of Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) - of launching 20 rockets at its military positions in Syria on Thursday morning.

Among other things, Washington is imposing sanctions on the direct or indirect sale, supply, or transfer to or from Iran of graphite and raw or semi-finished metals such as aluminium and steel, and coal, Reuters reported.

He has accused Iran of supporting terrorism.

"These actions are further proof that the Iranian regime's reckless actions pose a severe threat to regional peace and security".

Iran's deployment of troops to the country to help President Bashar al-Assad has alarmed Israel. The sanctions were estimated to be at the billions of dollars. After all, he has little knowledge of the substantive critiques that more thoughtful commentators have offered, instead offering up the same exhausted talking points and debunked myths as justification for his belief that it is the "worst deal ever negotiated". "Obviously we need the only country that can unilaterally destroy this agreement to stay committed, which is Iran". Whoever prepares themselves to attack us will be attacked first.

"Since the signing of the JCPOA (nuclear deal), we have gone from an atmosphere like a gold rush, to one of utter depression", said a Western trade diplomat on condition of anonymity.

Before leaving, Zarif published a government statement on his Twitter page, slamming Trump's "extremist administration" for abandoning "an accord recognised as a victory of diplomacy by the global community".
