Tepper set to buy Carolina Panthers

David Tepper's Brass Balls Are Coming To Carolina

The Carolina Panthers are expected to be sold to David Tepper, a hedge fund manager and minority owner of the Pittsburgh Steelers, as early as Tuesday, according to a report from ESPN.

If an agreement is set, the owners can make the sale official with a vote at next weeks owners meeting in Atlanta, GA.

According to Ian Rapport of NFL Network, Tepper would like to see the Panthers stay in Charlotte. On Monday, Rapoport reported that Tepper was finalizing his contract to purchase ownership of the team from current owner Jerry Richardson.

Over the next 48 hours, Richardson declared his intention to sell the Panthers, removed himself from operational control and elevated Tina Becker, who had been executive director of the owner's office, to chief operating officer.

Cure for the common cold? Incredible molecule shows real promise
Previous efforts to create drugs that target human cells rather than infections have failed thanks to "toxic side effects". The lab tests on human cells showed that the molecule they used could effectively combat different strains of the virus.

Current Panthers owner Jerry Richardson put the team up for sale in December amid an National Football League investigation into allegations of sexual and racial workplace misconduct.

For the first 59 years of his life, David Tepper was rarely too far from his native Pittsburgh.

The Panthers also quickly announced an internal investigation, but a hastily assembled National Football League probe into Richardson subsumed it.
