Superman actress Margot Kidder passes away

Margot Kidder Superman’s Lois Lane dies at 69

Both Kidder and co-star Christopher Reeve, who played Superman, were relative unknowns when they got their leading parts, and neither saw many major roles afterwards.

The royal wedding will be broadcast live on CTV and CTV News Channel beginning at 4 a.m. ET on May 19.

The actress died in her sleep at her home on Sunday in Livingston, Mont., her publicist Camilla Fluxman Pines confirmed to Variety. And of course she remains the best Lois Lane in the magical "Superman" & "Superman II".

When starring in the Superman movies, Margot was considered a pinup and often landed magazine covers, earning her a large fan base.

B-movie buffs say 1974s Black Christmas, with Kidder as a sorority sister, is a must-watch.

Kidder's full name was Margaret Ruth "Margot" Kidder and she was born in Yellowknife in the Northwest Territories province of Canada, but became a USA citizen in 2005.

Caitlyn Jenner just slammed Kourtney and Khloé Kardashian on Instagram
Stories about Jenner's ex-boyfriend Tyga then surfaced saying he, too, believed that Scott was not the baby's biological father. In one photo, Kylie beamed at the camera as she cuddled her newborn daughter as she posed in Stormi's nursery.

DC Comics' Twitter account paid tribute, writing, "Thank you for being the Lois Lane so many of us grew up with".

"On-screen she was magic".

Diagnosed with bipolar disorder, the actress became an activist for mental health issues as well as a champion of left-wing causes.

No further details were given and messages left with Kidder's representatives were not returned. She did not hesitate to speak out against the Gulf War in the '90s; her environmental activism led her to protest against the Keystone XL pipeline and join Mark Ruffalo, Pete Seeger and dozens of other celebrities in their ongoing fight against fracking.

Kidder married and divorced three times, according to trade journal Variety.

"And then, nearly a bit too casually, she mentioned that she'd asked her closest friends - if they stopped by her place and found her dead - to tell no one, place her naked body in a bedsheet, drag it up Canyon Mountain, and leave her for her other friends, the wolves". Her third marriage was to the French director Philippe de Broca, from 1983-84. Off-screen she was one of the kindest, sweetest, most caring woman I've ever known.
