PM Modi to visit Russian Federation next week for informal summit with Putin

Informal summits are in - or so it would seem.

The visit was announced on Monday evening jointly by New Delhi and the Kremlin.

Last month, Modi had held his first "informal summit" with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Wuhan in a bid to "reset" bilateral ties that have been under a strain since the Doklam face-off in 2017.

The informal summit at Sochi was in keeping with the tradition of regular consultations between India and Russian Federation at the highest levels, the External Affairs Ministry announced on Monday.

In Moscow, the Kremlin in a similar statement said: "There are plans to discuss key issues of developing Russian-Indian very privileged strategic partnership and also to exchange views on vital issues of the worldwide and regional agenda. Both leaders will also discuss their respective national developmental priorities and bilateral matters", the announcement from the Ministry of External Affairs stated.

According to HSBC 's statement, HSBC and Dutch bank ING successfully transferred funds to Cargill, the food and agriculture group. Corda is supported by 12 banks and this will hopefully allow it to bring the technology to market quickly and on a global scale.

South Korea, which is the second-lowest ranked team at Russian Federation 2018, will kick off its World Cup campaign against Sweden in (nuzz-knee) Nizhny Novgorod on June 18th, ... before facing the other Group F teams, Mexico and Germany, shortly after.

According to the statement, the summit is taking place at the invitation of Putin. But apart from bilateral interests like weapons and the impending sanctions, chances are that the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit in China and ways to cope with the unpredictable and rapidly changing global situation also come up discussion.

The Sochi meeting comes in the wake of Washington pulling out of the nuclear deal signed between Iran and six world powers (Britain, China, France, Germany, Russia and the US).

The date for the PM's visit to Russian Federation was finalized last week when National Security Adviser Ajit Doval and Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale visited Moscow.
