North Korea has begun dismantling nuclear test site, experts say

North Korea's last nuclear test triggered an earthquake

The DPRK side sent a letter through a communications channel at the border village of Panmunjom earlier in the day, saying it invites South Korean journalists from one news agency and one broadcaster to the ceremony for the dismantlement of its Punggye-ri underground nuclear test site, the ministry said in a press release.

North Korea has announced that they will dismantle Nuclear Test Site this month, ahead of the big Summit Meeting on June 12th.

The North's announcement comes days after Washington announced that the historic summit between Kim and Trump will be held June 12 in Singapore.

The two largest buildings at the command center and the main administrative support area remained intact, and no tunnel entrances appear to have been permanently closed, 38 North said.

Pompeo added that any sanction relief would be dependent upon North Korea abolishing its chemical biological weapons program, or CBW, and no longer continuing to assert a threat to the USA through its "nuclear weapons arsenal".

One particular worry is that if North Korea does not destroy its knowledge on nuclear weaponry, it could carry out research in secret and resume a nuclear weapons programme at short notice enabling the country to sell the data to other nations or terrorist groups.

North Korea has announced that it will allow USA and other foreign media to observe the process, which is scheduled to take place sometime between May 23rd and the 25th.

It is the moment in which the club needs to take risks. "We need to create dreams that will be possible to achieve". He added: "In football you never know". "Today 100 per cent I feel I am here", Pochettino said .

Pompeo Friday promised the USA would work to rebuild North Korea's sanctions-hit economy if it agreed to surrender its nuclear arsenal. The site is where 5 of the past 6 nuclear tests were conducted. Some of the rails for mining cars have also been removed. That's what the president is going to say, ' he said.

North Korea has started to dismantle its nuclear test site, which it had pledged to close down after the inter-Korean summit on April 27, according to media reports on Tuesday.

North Korea has invited worldwide media to witness the destruction of the site, but not technical inspectors, leaving disarmament experts and nuclear scientists wondering how effective the plan is - and whether it will be safe.

"The implementation of the decision means getting rid of all the nuclear weapons, dismantling them, taking them to Oak Ridge, Tennessee, " Bolton said in an interview with ABC's "This Week". "I think what the prospect for North Korea is to become a normal nation, to behave and interact with the rest of the world the way South Korea does".

Some experts believe Kim may try to drag out the process or seek a deal in which he gives away his intercontinental ballistic missiles but retains some of his shorter-range arsenal in return for a reduced USA military presence in the South.

According to a report from Voice of America on Monday, a White House official said while Washington welcomed Pyongyang's decision to close down the nuclear site, the process should undergo inspections by global experts.
