Asteroid larger than a Football Field will be near by Earth Experience

An asteroid whose dimensions range from 197 to 427 feet (approximately 60 to 130 meters) in diameter, 2010 WC9 asteroid, will pass safely between the Earth and the Moon on Tuesday, May 15th.

The Planet 2010 WC9 will certainly not be intense adequate to be noticeable to the human eye as it flies past Earth, however it will certainly be gotten by amateur telescopes that are directed at the best instructions at the correct time.

It is estimated that the closest approach will occur around 6:05 PM EDT.

The asteroid is expected to get as close as 126,419 miles from Earth, or about half the distance of the moon, according to the Great Lakes Ledger.

Chargesheet against Chidambaram is Congress' Nawaz Sharif moment, says Nirmala Sitharaman
Her comment came after the Income Tax department informed a special court in Chennai that Chidambaram's wife Nalini, son Karti and daughter-in-law Srinidhi didn't disclose their foreign assets and investments while filing their income tax returns.

While it's not by any means a doomsday rock, it's thought to be bigger than the Chelyabinsk meteor which left 1,500 injured in 2013 when it exploded over Russian Federation. Instead, enthusiasts should point their telescope skywards to get a glimpse of history: one of the closest encounters of an asteroid this size to Earth. Asteroids like Eros and 2010 WC9 offer huge scientific and commercial opportunities.

This long-lost asteroid was initially spotted by the "Catalina Sky Survey at the University of Arizona" on 30 November back in the year 2010. 2010 WC9, EarthSky reports, is traveling at about 28,655 miles per hour-that's one-tenth the speed of a bolt of lightning. Inning accordance with the Jet Propulsion Lab of NASA, the flyby of 2010 WC9 will certainly be the closest of a planet its dimension in virtually 300 years.

Aside from its impending visit, 2010 WC9 is particularly interesting because it has an unusual story behind it. Astronomers are calling it the "lost" asteroid because it vanished from their sight for almost eight years.

"The broadcast will be less than 25 minutes in duration, as the asteroid will cross our field of view within that period of time", he added. Our display will update every five seconds. Northolt Branch Observatories in London will offer a live viewing of the asteroid on its Facebook page, starting around midnight (London time) on May 14. We are of course collecting astrometric data whilst this is happening, but the motion of the asteroid will be apparent every five seconds! The 2010 WC9 is arriving within about "0.53 lunar-distances" from our planet. The experts, not being able to completely comprehend the asteroid, again re-imaged it on 10 May and named it as 2010 WC9. This is the night before Tuesday's close approach.
