Elon Musk Gives Sneak Peak Of Underground Tunnel Opening Soon

The Boring Company recently confirmed that it plans to make “an insane amount of bricks” with the “excavated muck” it has from tunnel digging projects

Elon Musk has shaken up the world in a variety of ways recently, from Tesla's impressive electric truck to the successful launch of the Falcon Heavy by SpaceX, which itself had a Tesla Roadster inside.

The technology mogul, whose companies include Tesla and SpaceX, said on Thursday over Twitter that he's nearly finished building a tunnel under a Los Angeles suburb that will be used to test the system.

Those free rides could begin as soon as a month from now.

In recent news, the PayPal founder posted a video on Instagram showing one of the rail systems in action. Musk claims that he will be able to offer free demo rides to the public in just a few months, pending some "final regulatory approvals", as he wrote on Instagram. If the Boring company already drilled all of it is not clear.

Malaysia to swear in world's oldest leader Mahathir Mohamad, aged 92
Both he and Anwar were formerly in power, as part of the BN, as prime minister and deputy respectively. At 92, he is the world's oldest elected leader.

The executive says Boring Co is already started on its East Coast route from Washington DC to NY. Musk may be counting on his huge fan base to help with the tricky task of getting the tunnel cleared for takeoff.

Musk's reference to the support needed from the public, elected officials and regulators may serve to explain why he's bringing up the subject now. Initially, the plan was to transport people through tunnels by lowering their cars on "skates" and take them to their destination. This has now been extended by around two miles, stretching toward Los Angeles International Airport, LAX.

Musk started the underground tunnel project with a specific goal in mind: to combat LA's horrific traffic problem.
