Take a tour of the new Rolls-Royce $325000 SUV

Rolls-Royce reveals its first SUV

The Rolls-Royce Cullinan is the first "do-it-all" Roller - a statement SUV that can help with the school run on the weekdays, whisk you to the opening evening of Swan Lake at the Royal Opera House and then tow the horsebox to your next polo match at the weekend. Now that we see the SUV without the camo-cladding, we have to say the SUV does look massive, with seamless lines across the body, and artfully designed curves. (The Cullinan can wade in water up to 21 inches high, again beating the Bentley equivalent.) Futuristic LEDs surrounding each headlight give it a slightly new, rectangular shape. Though the company has not announced the price of "The Cullinan" according to some reports, this vehicle could be priced at Rs $325,000.

Rolls-Royce customers, whether seated in the rear or driving themselves (some do, you know) expect to be insulated from the noise and bustle of the outside world in a luxurious cocoon.

The design of the Cullinan seems to be inspired from the flagship Phantom to an extent, with a sloping roofline, and the extended boot panel. Even ultra luxury automakers such as Rolls Royce have been swept up in the SUV wave. The Cullinan, according to images, also gets suicide-doors, alongside Phantom style radiator grille and headlamps.

The brand had also unveiled for the first time the Cullinan gets a smart-looking tail-gate mounted seats and a table. Meanwhile, we wonder, who's making the cocktails and who's drinking them (No drink and drive fellas!).

Unicode bug found to crash iOS Messages app on iPhones and iPads
Users may try to close the iMessage app, but it will again crash once it is accessed and the black dot message is displayed again. The Telugu language character sent as an iMessage or even if just inserted in a text field can make user's iPhone unusable.

Standard equipment includes night vision assist with wildlife and pedestrian warning, active cruise control, collision warning, cross-traffic warning, lane change warning, satellite navigation with a second touchscreen display for the rear passengers, a four-camera system with panoramic view, all-round visibility and helicopter view, five USB ports, a wireless charging compartment, a WiFi hotspot and a 19cm high-resolution head-up display. The twelve-cylinder engine produces a healthy 563 PS and 850 Nm of torque. "Hence Cullinan", said Torsten Muller-Otvos, CEO of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. The whole package manages a limited 155 mph/250 km/h top speed.

It is the interior, however, that makes a Rolls.

As anticipated of Rolls-Royce, which remains to be based mostly in England however owned by Germany's BMW, the Cullinan takes passenger consolation to extremes. Also here, the Cullinan's electronic suspension uses an air-compression system to push any wheel downwards if it detects that wheel losing traction, and ensures every wheel is constantly in contact with the ground and that maximum torque is applied to all wheels. Presenting the new Rolls-Royce Cullinan, Chairman of Rolls-Royce and board member of BMW Group Peter Schwarzenegger said, "Today we have launched a vehicle for our customers that is better connected to customers, and globally The SUV is designed according to the best performance, which sets a new standard".

The new Rolls-Royce Cullinan launched at Goodwood on Thursday, May 10. The Cullinan is expected to make it to the Indian market by the end of this year.
