It's a boy! Kate Middleton gives birth to third child

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge made their first public appearance with their newborn son on Monday. Kensington Palace shared the picture on Twitter, writing: "Welcome to the family".

Royal watchers were put on baby alert early this morning from a notice from Kensington Palace read that she was in labor.

Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, have officially welcomed their third child, a baby boy.

Today has been a whirlwind centred around the birth of the third royal baby, who arrived at 11am to Kate Middleton and Prince William.

Like its older siblings, the baby's full title will be Her (or His) Royal Highness, Princess (or Prince), followed by several given names.

Middleton, 36, who only gave birth Monday morning, beamed as she stood by the side of William, 35, with the little boy in her arms. For example: Prince Charles's sister, Princess Anne, remains behind her two younger brothers, Princes Andrew and Edward, in the line of succession.

Lynch said the 49ers' decision on Foster will be based on information revealed in the case and the outcome of the case. We do feel like patience is the right approach right now, that we are going to learn things through this legal process.

Kensington Palace said the baby was born at 11am, after Kate was taken by auto to the Lindo Wing just before 6am. "Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well", the palace confirmed in a statement.

The palace said the baby prince was born at 11:01am and weighed in at eight pounds, seven ounces (3.8 kilogrammes).

William, 35 was born at the same hospital to the late Princess Diana in 1982. The new family of three then traveled home to Kensington Palace. William and Kate will need to run it by Queen Elizabeth first but top bets are on Arthur, Albert and Philip.

Monday is St. George's Day, England's national day, but the baby is unlikely to be given the name since his older brother already has it.

"When she gave birth to Prince George in 2013, Kate wore another outfit inspired by Diana: A blue polka-dot Jenny Packham dress, invoking the same print that Diana herself wore to present William to the world in 1982", the report noted.

Here's a look at some of the parenting strategies Will and Kate have used while raising their first two children, George and Charlotte.
