PDP urges National Assembly to address Buhari's United Kingdom trip

Wicked People 'Kept Nigerians Poor', Says Buhari

PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday according to a statement issued by Femi Adesina, Special Adviser to the President (Media and Publicity) while receiving the Archbishop of Canterbury, His Grace Justin Welby in London on Wednesday, has said that the Fulani herdsmen responsible for killings in Nigeria were trained and armed by Muammar Gadaffi of Libya.

"You could nearly grow food on our roads, as they were abandoned".

He said past leaders failed to exploit, to the advantage of Nigerians, the myriad natural and human resources available to them.

He added: "I am happy that people like you are here on your own, defending the country".

President Buhari further assured them that their confidence in the Federal Government would not be abused, as his administration would do its best to justify it.

"If in the course of investigations, it (Presidency) discovered that the insurgents were from outside Nigeria, why is the government reportedly paying ransoms to them and even considering amnesty options?"

"I wonder how all those things could have happened to our country", the President said.

The National Coordinator of the group, Comrade Chinedu Ogah noted that Buhari's decision would stabilize the economy and further consolidate the fight against corruption and insecurity in the country. We are happy with the agriculture revolution, the ease of doing business, the anti-corruption war, the employment of youths through the N-Power programme, and the blockage of leakages in the public sector through the Treasury Single Account (TSA).

"We are proud of the speed with which you recovered the abducted Dapchi schoolgirls".

"We are happy that you have declared for 2019".

The PDP said it "being the party rallying the overwhelming majority of Nigerians today", has a responsibility to stand with the citizens, irrespective of class, creed or ethnicity to hold this failed APC administration accountable for its promises and will continue to put it out glaringly to them ahead of their electoral disgrace in 2019.

Ogba who commended the Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike on his insistence on for transparent PDP primaries in the state, and emphasised that credible general election in the country should begin with transparent primaries by various political parties.

"We shall support him and campaign for him vigorously to actualize his ambition. You are fixing the faulty foundations of our country and second term is when you will build the enduring structure".

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has asked the National Assembly to invoke the relevant sections of the constitution to address the power vacuum caused by President Muhammadu Buhari's absence from the country.
