"Potentially strong tornadoes", large hail, and severe winds could be headed for Columbia County with a storm cell set to move through the area Friday afternoon, according to forecasters.

The largest threat is tornadoes and damaging winds up to 60 miles per hour, Owen said, noting that Walker County was under an enhanced threat area, as was most of the office's service area from the MS border to a line from Gadsden going south.
