Google Added A Surprising New Feature In Gmail - The Confidential Mode

Gmail’s current design as viewed on the web

The self-destructing emails in the new Gmail design seem to function like the popular client ProtonMail, and when a new "confidential" mode, you can make it so that an email becomes unreadable after a certain amount of time.

Gmail will reportedly offer a feature that will allow users to set a self-destruction time when the message they send will no longer be viewable by the recipient, according to TechCrunch.

Citing a Defense One article, the report said that Google Cloud chief Diane Greene this week hosted a Town Hall at which she assured employees of new ethical standards for the company.

Google has launched a new feature called "Talk to Books" letting you literally do exactly what the name suggests by the help of Artificial intelligence. However, the leaker was able to seize a screenshot of the email content.

How do you control when recipients' emails self-destruct?

The new Gmail design also features a new sidebar, with the option of using Google's calendar, Keep note-taking app, or tasks side-by-side with your email messages. Gmail will let users configure expiration date for expiring mails such as a week, month, multiple years, and more.

Dogs rescued from blaze on Parent Avenue
Harrisburg first responders quickly got a house fire under control on Sunday, containing the damage to one area of the home. Flames were already breaking through the roof over a garage that was converted to a living space.

Google is implementing smart replies for Gmail on the web, the same feature from mobile Gmail that provides suggestions to quickly reply to emails.

Google warns that "Talk to Books is more of a creative tool than a way to find specific answers".

"We're working on some major updates to Gmail (they're still in draft phase)".

Google has discharged a module on TensorFlow different analysts and designers can utilize, so the tech giant's work could prompt more AI-controlled applications that can see how we use words superior to anything their more established partners can.

So, no flames. No need to panic. While these features may reassure business users who do not want certain information to be shared by the recipient with anyone else, users can still take screenshots of these emails or take a photograph of the email content.
