Cleveland Browns rumors: Jets, Bills offered for No. 1 overall pick

NFL Draft 2018 Jets acquire No. 3 overall pick from Colts

Whether valid or not, it seemed that the Browns were playing footsie with running back Saquon Barkley.

Who gets picked where has been vastly different for multiple draft analysts.

Ideally, the Browns would swap would Denver because they'd only move down one spot, collect some nice draft assets, and get the player of their choosing because they already secured their quarterback with the first pick. Barkley would be a stellar addition for a young offense paired with wide receiver Jarvis Landry and Josh Gordon, especially with a mobile option at quarterback with Tyrod Taylor while the first-rounder waits. That's three in the first three picks.

Woodhead broke in to the National Football League with the New York Jets in 2009, but eventually caught on for two seasons with the New England Patriots and four more with the San Diego Chargers.

The Indianapolis Colts traded the 3rd overall pick yesterday to the New York Jets for the following picks; 6th pick, 37th pick, 49th pick, and their 2019 2nd round pick.

The 12th pick could be the ideal spot for the Browns to draft 6-foot-8, 312-pound offensive tackle Mike McGlinchey of Notre Dame.

William Blair Keeps Its "Buy" Rating on Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) Shares Today
Capital Research Global Investors lifted its position in by 0.4% in the 2nd quarter. (NASDAQ:AMZN) for 242,207 shares. The e-commerce giant reported $2.16 earnings per share for the quarter, topping analysts' consensus estimates of $1.85 by $0.31.

The Jets announce, and in lights, that they are exhausted of waiting for things to break their way, even after re-signing Josh McCown and trading for Teddy Bridgewater. He mentioned that they are still open to trading down from the 6th pick but it would require a significant amount of compensation to accept a deal of that kind. The same is true of Lamar Jackson, who is also now certain to end up somewhere other than NY to begin his pro career. That should be Sam Darnold. Yet another reason why I don't think free agency moves will shake up teams' targets at the top of the draft.

While Baker Mayfield, Josh Allen, and Lamar Jackson could all succeed in the right system, that system is not in Cleveland. Most likely they were never interested in drafting one and will keep plugging along with Andrew Luck. It's entirely possible that Wyoming's Josh Allen is included in their top three, or perhaps they even have him in equal standing with the three players I mentioned, which would give them four players at the quarterback position with the same grade. And knowing how things look when quarterbacks start coming off the board, they're going to go fast.

The majority of influence now lies with the New York Giants and their new GM Dave Gettleman.

But then rumors started to surface that the Cowboys only wanted to sign Anderson so they could trade him to the Baltimore Ravens, who needed a quarterback but knew the Browns would not be willing to deal Anderson within the division. They are poised to select a quarterback in the draft that they believe will be the quarterback for the next decade.

The last time NY took a quarterback with a high first-round pick was 2009, when it drafted Mark Sanchez. Bjoern Werner was the only highly drafted front seven player of the Ryan Grigson era and he quickly flamed out. I'm sitting on this take.
