Case Keenum reportedly plans to sign with the Broncos

Report: Case Keenum Intends to Sign With Broncos When Free Agency Opens Wednesday

The Denver Broncos will sign former Minnesota Vikings quarterback Case Keenum.

He threw for 3,547 yards, 22 touchdowns and just seven interceptions, helping the Vikings reach the NFC Championship Game. Of the teams thought to be shopping for a starting quarterback in free agency, all but one appeared to have a deal in place for Wednesday.

Appearing on ESPN early Tuesday morning, Schefter said, "barring some last-minute setback in negotiations", the 30-year-old Keenum is headed to Denver. Kubiak is now the Denver Broncos' senior personnel advisor so the team will be familiar with their new quarterback. John Elway, the Broncos' front office football czar, has settled on Keenum as his latest attempt to fix the quarterback situation. Manning guided the Broncos to two Super Bowls and won the 2015 National Football League championship.

Keenum went on to go undrafted in the draft that year before signing with the Houston Texans (and then-coach Gary Kubiak) as a college free agent.

Trump Just Trashed Some Very Popular Gun Proposals
Cohen, a Trump critic who accused the president of having "no core principles", said he's not surprised by the constant shifts. Republicans' support for background checks was a full 20 points lower when the poll mentioned Obama's name.

Keenum would have veterans Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders as his targets in Denver after Elway chose not to release either of the expensive wide receivers.

That included choosing among the draft prospects that include Josh Allen, Josh Rosen, Sam Darnold, Baker Mayfield and others. Misses don't bother me.

It is not certain yet what sort of contract that Keenum, who made $2 million last season, will get. "Obviously, we have to get better at that (quarterback) position". We didn't play well there a year ago. I feel like we can get right back in the thick of things rather quickly because I think we still have a good defensive football team.
