Nokia 9 to feature an In-Display Fingerprint Sensor

Nokia 9 (2018)/8 Pro hand-sketched render posted in China sporting the “notch”

NokiaPowerUser report claims that the Nokia 9 is going to feature an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Nokia CEO Rajeev Suri gives a press conference on February 25, 2018 in Barcelona, on the eve of the inauguration of the Mobile World Congress (MWC).

Nokia 9, most probably, the last premium Nokia smartphone of this year, could find it's launch late in the summers in the third quarter.

Noticeably absent from their lineup, however, was the so-called Nokia 9 that many were hoping to see and hear about. Under-Display fingerprint scanner was recently launched with the Vivo X20 Plus UD and many big smartphone brands are expected to bring the under-display fingerprint scanner soon. It could be the HMD's first smartphone to come with the in-display sensor. Now, one of the well-known sources in China has posted a hand-sketched image of Nokia 9 2018/8 Pro based on his information and the image shows it sporting a notch.

Federer wins rain-delayed match, Djokovic ousted in Indian Wells
Despite the myriad achievements in his career, one moment stands out for Federer as the best match he's ever played. Yuki Bhambri of India pulled off a surprise when he toppled ninth-seeded Frenchman Lucas Pouille 6-4 6-4.

As we all know, HMD is preparing to have Nokia 9 as part of their 2018's roadmap. As per the leak, the smartphone will come with a 6.01-inch full HD display with 1,080×2,160 pixel resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. Up front, it may come with a 13-megapixel selfie camera. Rumors are rife that it can feature the same 12-megapixel dual camera module which has been made available on Nokia 8 Sirocco. The smartphone will be backed by a 3,250mAh battery with fast charging support.

Earlier reports have suggested the Nokia 8 Pro will sport a 3D glass back and front.

This would also throw the under-display fingerprint scanner onto shaky ground.

Were seeing a number of reports in recent weeks of upcoming smartphones expected to feature a notch that it is no longer surprising. Both the smartphones are also expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 845 chipset. The rumor mill now appears with the details of the Nokia 8 Pro pertaining to its key specs and possible pricing.
