Apple Updates MFi Logo, Company Set To Change Packaging

Specifically, the company has changed the MFi logo.

Today, Apple has reportedly started notifying manufacturers about a slight change to the "Made For i" (MFi) program logos, which have been updated with new graphics.

According to an inside informer, Apple announced the packaging and MFi logo changes to their already certified manufactures on February 9th. With the change of the MFi logo, manufacturers will have to adapt the logo to their future products. Moreover, the MFi meaning has been changed from "Made for iPod/iPhone/iPad" to "Made for iPhone/iPad/iPod". One could use a product like Apple's own Lightning to 3.5mm headphone jack adapter that it included in the box with new iPhones, and then use a male-to-male 3.5mm cable to connect to a device's 3.5mm input. This order change seems to be due to the popularity of each product line. The font style for the words in the MFi logo also changed.

"Promote your electronic accessory with MFi logos", the MFi program states on Apple's website.

DowDuPont executive chairman Andrew Liveris to leave
He will give up his executive chairmanship in April, and his role as director in July, when he officially retires. Jeff Fettig, co-lead independent director for DowDuPont, will take over as executive chairman.

Here's something die-hard Apple fans will find interesting: the Cupertino firm is switching up its iconic MFi licensing logo, ditching the famous iPad, iPhone and iPod illustrations for something a little more straightforward.

With the new specs, companies in the MFi program can now include USB-C receptacles on their officially certified iOS and Mac accessories for charging.

It is worth noting that in recent year, Apple has increased the protection of its intellectual property rights.
