Bears to meet Ravens in Hall of Fame game August 2

Ravens Bears meet in Hall of Fame game

The Pro Football Hall of Fame inductions will take place August 4. It also means the Ravens will begin training camp a week earlier than usual to prepare for the NFL's first preseason contest. It's the Ravens' first, the Bears' record-tying fifth.

The preseason game launches the NFL's 99th season and kicks off an Enshrinement Weekend where both teams have long-serving linebackers being inducted into the Hall of Fame.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame announced Tuesday that the Bears will play the Baltimore Ravens in the Hall of Fame Game on Thursday, Aug. 2. This is the first appearance for the Baltimore Ravens. So at the end of the day, thank goodness Philadelphia doesn't have to worry about playing in this year's Hall of Fame Game. However, the field was redone as part of a massive renovation project at the Hall of Fame, and last year's game went off without any problems.

Teck Resources down despite better profit in Q4
CIBC started coverage on Teck Resources in a report on Friday, November 17th. 3 analysts gave its stock an Outperform rating. Stocks with high EPS growth rates compared with year-ago levels suggest a company has products or services in strong demand.

The one point mentioned by Jeff McLane about the possibility of the Eagles playing in a fifth preseason game along with recently extending their season, and having to open on September 6 would have been an absolute nightmare to deal with. The Ravens beat Chicago, 19-14, before the start of the 1998 season.

The announcement doesn't affect the rest of Baltimore's preseason slate. Lewis, who played 17 seasons in Baltimore, joins Jonathan Ogden as the only Ravens in the Hall of Fame.

Single-game tickets for the Hall of Fame Game, and tickets for the enshrinement ceremony, go on sale February 16 at profootballhof.com/tickets. Packages range from event day offerings to four-day experiences that include a multitude of exclusive extras.
