Apple AirPod nearly blows up in man's ear

Man claims his Apple Air Pod implode at Florida 1022018

Jason Colon, the owner of the AirPods was listening to dance music at the LA Fitness when he saw white smoke coming out of the right half of the AirPods. Apple has announced an investigation after a man's AirPods exploded during his routine workout.

An Apple AirPods owner feared that his ear could've been burned off after one of the wireless headphones started billowing out smoke.

'I didn't see it happen, but I mean, it was already fried! Realizing that something wasn't right, Colon put the AirPods down on some exercise equipment and ran to get help.

"It was already popped", he said. "I don't know what would've happened to my ear", he said.

NHS not for sale and never will be, Downing Street says
The proportion of health service contracts being won by non-NHS firms ballooned to nearly 70% past year , says The Independent. On 5 February, US President Donald Trump made headlines again by suggesting that the NHS was " broke and not working ".

In this case, the man showed the AirPods to WFLA, a local TV news station, and the earphone in question appears to have some flame damage and does look severely mangled. "But I'm sure since it hangs down, it could've been [my] ear lobe. Earlobe could've been burnt".

While we have experienced many situations where devices such as smartphones would blow up, the majority of them were the Galaxy Note 7 devices.

We've always been largely unimpressed with the quality of Apple's EarPods headphones, and were hoping to see a dramatic improvement in their standard following Apple's acquisition of Beats in 2014. The fact that the AirPods exploded is a major problem for Apple, as it suggests a problem with the manufacturing that could become disastrous if it ended up being a widespread problem.

For more on this, check out the full story here. As for now, what are your thoughts on the AirPods blowing up on a Florida man? Apple is reportedly investigating the issue however no official comment has been yet recorded.
