Hundreds gather at Capitol to show support of life

Indeed, on Friday, as anti-abortion protesters gathered in Washington for the 45th annual March for Life, the Trump administration announced two new policies.

As thousands took part in Women's marches all over the country Saturday, there was another March that brought big crowds. His message was well received by Jeanne Mancini, the group's president, who told Politico that the President has been a "great" ally.

Nicole Manzione, president of the Students For Life Club at Washington State University, was one of the final people to leave the gathering.

Forty-five years ago today, the United States Supreme Court, in Roe v. Wade, affirmed that a woman's right to an abortion was protected by the U.S. Constitution.

As a result of New York's outdated law, some abortion providers still refuse to provide abortions later in pregnancy because, while medically necessary to preserve the pregnant woman's health (and thus protected under Roe), New York law states that abortion is only "justifiable" when performed within 24 weeks or to preserve the woman's life.

Although a pregnant mother and/or her preborn child may die, there is no justification in the law of God or man for the intentional killing of even one innocent born or preborn human in existence at fertilization. The ERA, first introduced in 1923, is created to guarantee equal rights for all citizens regardless of sex; it seeks to end the legal distinctions between men and women in terms of divorce, property, employment and other matters.

The facts are clear - Roe v. Wade was a terribly ill-conceived ruling which has ended an huge number of innocent lives ... harmed women ... and devastated families. If you believe that life begins at conception, and that therefore any abortion at any time is akin to murder, then there can be no compromise in the law.

The Lionesses are now ranked third in the world and are considered one of the favourites for the 2019 World Cup in France. Neville has a UEFA Pro license, but has never been a manager, nor does he have experience whatsoever in women's football.

Activists rally outside of the Lincoln Memorial during the #PowertothePolls Women's March on January 20.

Choosing life is not always easy, but it is the loving, empowering, and self-sacrificial option. Love saves lives in countless ways. This is the ethics of altruism laid bare.

Whereas the "March for Life" is anti-life with regard to a relatively narrow issue, the Women's March is anti-life with regard to a whole host of issues. While those who had abortions before Roe v. Wade show what life is like when abortion is illegal, those who had them after show that, despite the court case, abortion still isn't fully accessible for all people. The systems of laws that exists in those countries view women as property. The increasing inaccessibility of choice means that our society does not value women as equal or consider their judgment as sound. Consequently, movement participants find some degree of spiritual kinship with a wide variety of causes-some of which do call for the protection of rights.

Abortion opponents know their biggest obstacle is the U.S. Senate, where they don't have the 60 votes required for most legislation. After years of litigation, the Hyde Amendment was upheld by the Supreme Court in 1980, and the abortion rate has fallen almost every year since then.

Still though, even if he had managed to get the right words out, they still wouldn't have been correct.

They correctly say that employers should treat women fairly in the workforce-and they call for the government to force businesses to provide "family leave, access to affordable childcare, sick days, healthcare, fair pay, vacation time, and healthy work environments". With the mounting restrictive legislative attacks, a women's right to be equal is slowly being chipped away. "Medicaid dollars should go to local community health centers serving women - not the scandal-ridden billion-dollar abortion industry", ADF Legal Counsel Elissa Graves said in a statement, according to The Christian Post.
