Trump's 'shithole' remarks targeted at Hatians, Africans sparks global outrage

S--HOLE COUNTRIES’ President Trump is under fire for comments on immigrants from Haiti El Salvador and African nations. According to reports Trump asked ‘Why are we having all these people from s--hole countries come here

Trump has seemed to deny using those words but acknowledged on Twitter that he used "tough" language during White House negotiations this week with lawmakers on an immigration bill.

Trump also said that the United States should instead bring more people from countries such as Norway.

Democratic senator Dianne Feinstein called the comments "beneath the dignity of the presidency" and said Mr Trump's desire to see more immigrants from countries like Norway was "an effort to set this country back generations by promoting "a homogeneous, white society".

It was kind of crude, but we've heard it before, and we know that other presidents have used bad language in the past.

Trump also denied saying "anything derogatory about Haitians other than Haiti is, obviously, a very poor and troubled country". Specifically, he whined that the USA was mostly attracting immigrants from "shithole" countries.

Samantha Power, a former US ambassador to the United Nations, wrote on Twitter that she had "never seen a statement like this by African countries directed at the United Nations".

Republican lawmakers who were in the Thursday meeting generally sidestepped questions about precisely what Trump said.

DACA protects hundreds of thousands of young undocumented immigrants brought to the USA as children from deportation.

Durbin, a key negotiator in DACA talks, recounted the meeting on MSNBC Friday, saying, "He said, 'Haitians". Although the United States has a complicated racial history, including slavery, segregation and persistent economic disparities between whites and minorities, Trump's most recent predecessors from both parties have used their position to promote equality and have endorsed immigration policies that brought millions of people from Africa and Latin America to the U.S. US police kill more people in a few days than many other developed countries kill in a few years, and they disproportionately target minorities. Perry said she believed presidents should be subject to a raft of tests to establish they are fit to serve. He added the country "would be forced to take large numbers of people from high crime countries which are doing badly".

Trump was quoted in the Washington Post as having said: 'Why are we having all these people from s***hole countries come here?' during a discussion about immigration.

"Why do we want all these people from "shithole countries" coming here?"

Addis Ababa: Vulgar comments attributed to US President Donald Trump have caused outrage across Africa. "Ours is not a shithole country".

"Ours is not a s**thole country, neither is Haiti or any other country in distress", said Duarte.

Namibia's foreign ministry meanwhile said Trump's language was "contrary to the norms of civility and human progress" and ignored Africans' contributions in the United States. "[His] words and his actions tend to speak like one who knows something about being a racist".

Much of Trump's first year as president has been marked by racial controversy.

Trump often retweeted supportive messages from white supremacists and neo-Nazis during his election campaign, even when the users' profile pictures clearly indicated their political affiliation.

Durbin said that despite Trump's rejection of the bipartisan deal he would introduce it as legislation next week and work on getting Democratic and Republican support for passage.

The term of the "suave" and "sophisticated" Barack Obama saw the United States bombing seven countries - Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Somalia, Yemen, Libya and Syria.

Federal agencies will run out of money and have to shut down if lawmakers don't pass legislation extending their financing by January 19.

"The so-called bipartisan DACA deal presented yesterday to myself and a group of Republican Senators and Congressmen was a big step backwards".

King's son, Martin Luther King III, met with Trump on the last King holiday, four days before Trump took office.
