Arsenal omits Sanchez amid interest from Manchester clubs

Manchester United are confident of attracting Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez although a deal is not imminent, says SSN reporter James Cooper.

The Chile global entered the final six months of his Arsenal contract at the start of January and had been expected to move to City, with Sanchez said to be keen to join up with Pep Guardiola once again.

Sanchez who came in as a substitute in Arsenal's 0-0 draw against Chelsea in the Carabao Cup semifinal has grown out of favour at Emirates and is seeking trophies in his career.

He has been at Arsenal since 2014.

"I think there is confidence on the red side of Manchester that they have the fee that Arsenal are looking for and they maybe have a player in Henrikh Mkhitaryan that might certainly catch Arsene Wenger's eye. You want to focus on the players who are on the pitch who can do well for the club".

Cold temperatures are back with light snow coming our way
Baltimore health department Commissioner Leana Wen issued a "Code Blue" advisory from Saturday night through Monday morning. Visibility could be reduced under 1 mile at times as snow falls through the overnight hours and into Sunday morning.

Sanchez was thought to be heading to either Manchester City or United, but now Liverpool have registered an interest in Arsenal's Chilean forward.

Guardiola's bid to buy Sanchez collapsed at the end of the summer transfer window and City were favourites to land him this time around but the club are apparently unwilling to meet Arsenal's reported £35 million ($48 million, 39 million euros) asking price.

In the tweet below, Ferdinand explains that he would love to see Sanchez join United and that he will personally direct the Chilean to Old Trafford to help push a move.

And Cole believes that Mourinho needs to take advantage of this window of opportunity to sign Sanchez this month.

Speaking on BT Sport on Saturday, Ferdinand said that Sanchez would be better off joining City than his former employers.
