Trump's not making America great with racist 's--thole' countries complaint

Withdraw and Apologize 54 African Countries Ask US President Trump Over 'Shithole' Slur

Facing strong condemnation at home and overseas, U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday denied using the word "shithole" to describe Haiti and African countries, but kept up criticism of a Senate immigration plan that he said would force the United States to admit people from countries that "are doing badly".

Trump sandwiched his version of a mea culpa in between statements that clearly blamed Democrats for, well, making him angry enough to refer to immigrants from Haiti, El Salvador and African countries as people from "shithole countries" who want to come to the United States. He knows absolutely nothing about these people-the pain they've faced, their harrowing journeys, or their commitment to our country, much less the cultural vibrancy of the countries they came from.

The Washington Post, the New York Times, Politico and the Wall Street Journal all reported the comments on Thursday, quoting witnesses or people briefed on the meeting.

Several commentators compared Mr Trump's depiction of immigrants from some countries to the treatment that Irish people received in previous times, including MSNBC news presenter Lawrence O'Donnell.

Trump's contemptuous blanket description of African countries startled lawmakers in the meeting and immediately revived charges that the president is racist. "I'm sorry, but there's no other word one can use but racist", United Nations spokesman Rupert Colville said Friday.

"You can not dismiss entire countries and continents as "s...holes" whose entire populations, who are not white, are therefore not welcome", Colville said.

The White House did not deny his remark but issued a statement saying Trump supports immigration policies that welcome "those who can contribute to our society".

Farris said that the comments were "another example of him (Trump) speaking without knowing the facts".

Similar sentiments were expressed by African nations, with the African Union saying it was "frankly alarmed" by the comments.

Thomas Davis Will Retire After 2018
During training camp, Davis signed a one-year extension through the 2018 season with the intention of it being his last. In 13 seasons, Davis has 1,017 career tackles, 28.0 sacks, 13 interceptions and 18 forced fumbles.

Colville also expressed concern for previous remarks by Trump that had what he called racial undertones, including campaign events in which the then-candidate had called Mexican immigrants criminals and rapists, and Trump's response a year ago to a white supremacist march saying that "both sides" deserved blame.

South Carolina's Tim Scott, the only black Republican senator, said that if Trump really did use those words it would be "disappointing".

'The language used by me at the DACA meeting was tough, but this was not the language used, ' Trump wrote, using unusually passive language in an effort to walk back the comment. And one of them, Senator Dick Durbin, came with the fucking receipts for Racist McShitpants.

In exchange, the deal would end extended family "chain migration".

One lawmaker in Ghana called for a boycott by developing countries against the United States until Trump leaves office.

'It's not how a president should speak.

At a White House event during which he signed a proclamation to honor the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., Trump on Friday ignored shouted questions from a reporter who asked if is a "racist". That's not how a president behaves. Most of all, it's not what a president should believe.

"These are shocking and shameful comments from the President of the United States".

Graham was at the Oval Office Thursday to present a bipartisan agreement to overhaul the nation's immigration system to Trump.
