Tesla Model 3 hits showroom for first time ever - in Palo Alto

Tesla confirmed today that the first two Tesla Model 3 display cars are going to Los Angeles and Palo Alto this Friday. The product was first promoted by Tesla, the biggest U.S. installer of rooftop-solar systems, with installation of the shingles on the homes of several employees and the company now will start installing roofs for customers within the next few months.

The all-electric, consumer-friendly sedan will be on display at Tesla's Palo Alto showroom, offering reservation holders and prospective buyers their first up-close, in-person look at the vehicle.

Tesla held a private Model 3 viewing at the showroom Thursday night for existing Tesla owners.

CENTURY CITY, California - Tesla is starting to bring its mass-market Model 3 cars to its retail stores in Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay Area.

The company is also hiring beyond the approximately 500 employees who are now working on the site. That's coming later, the company said in a press release.

Here's the real reason why Game of Thrones isn't airing until 2019
Now, however, we know that season 8 won't come until 2019 which pushing back the earliest possible start date for the spinoff. The duo wanted as much time as they could to make the strongest - and most epic - episodes that they possibly could.

It also follows on comments back in November from Tesla CEO Elon Musk that the product was being put through a half-year testing program before full deployment, and that "it just takes a little while to get this behemoth rolling".

Model 3 reservation holder Liz Lopez of Mountain View said because of the production delays she and her husband bought an electric Volkswagen e-Golf to receive a tax break - but the couple was still eagerly awaiting their Tesla.

As the world continues to be focused on Tesla's electric vehicle business, the company recently began production of its revolutionary solar roof tile at its New York Gigafactory.

Incidentally, Tesla also says Panasonic's Heterojunction Intrinsic Thin Film (HIT) PV modules have been being made at the site since last summer. "But it'd personally work in our favor since we're not in a hurry to purchase another vehicle, and hopefully production issues will improve over time". University of MI researchers have just published a report concluding that across the US, the average annual cost of fueling a gas-powered vehicle is $1,117, while power for an electric vehicle costs $485.
